12 Authentic Vegetarian Restaurants In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

26 / 06 / 2018

As you may know, Spain’s the ultimate paradise for carnivores. We don’t want to go into details here, but ordering a salad without Jamon Iberico or Jamon Serrano is a sacrilege. It’s like forcing an ultra-catholic to read Darwin’s contributions to the evolutionary theory.

And for a big part of Spaniards, a dinner without meat on the plate isn’t a dinner. It’s food for the hippies and hipsters.

Though it’s getting a bit better. Even in the Canary Islands. Vegetarians and vegans have lots of possibilities to eat out together with their carnivore friends. Many regular restaurants started to offer vegetarian and vegan food. Some restaurants already include little notes in their menus about gluten and wheat.

And of course, you can always have vegetarian food in Japanese, Chinese, Indian, or Arabian restaurants.

But are there authentic 100% vegetarian restaurants in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria?

Luckily, there are a handful...

There you go:

These are the 12 favorite places for vegan and vegetarian food in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

The above mentioned places aren’t in any particular order. But...I’m extraordinarily picky when it comes to eating out, and I made some weird experiences in two of the places in this list. And because I do not want to influence you..well...try them out. Maybe I’m just too picky.

In general, I have no doubt that you will be quite pleased while eating in these twelve places. Even if you’re are a carnivore (like me).

Buen provecho and enjoy their delicious vegetarian dishes.
