The tourist bus will give you all a comfortable, fun trip around the capital, from four metres up, with audio-guides in 8 languages. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Tour will show you the capital city in a complete trip which you can jump on and off, planning your excursion day for yourself. It’s just like any other European city with a significant number of sights to show off because Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a city with many different faces. It is surprisingly diverse for a town growing in the middle of an island in the ocean.

You can get on the “guaguatour” in Vegueta, the historical centre, a district which is more than 500 years old, full of museums and tapas bars where your kids will enjoy the Casa de Colón.

Then you can get off at Las Canteras, where the beach stretches out into the distance accompanied by a string of terraces snaking along the edge, and you can take a long stroll out to where the surfers play with the waves as though they were made of paper.

You can also stop for a drink under the palm trees in the “Pueblo canario”, a hidden spot in the middle of the city. And if the kids give you a moment to yourself, maybe you fancy treating yourself in calle Mesa y López or in calle Triana, the largest shopping areas in the city. You can also chill out in Santa Catalina Park, just a stone’s throw from the large cruise ships, right next to the Elder Science Museum. Your kids will find that the Elder museum is anything but traditional, custom-made for them, full of thousands of gadgets and machines for them to fiddle with.

You can see the whole city, as it spreads out to the sea front, from the heights of the Altavista viewpoint. The tourist bus will get you to any of these places in a jiffy.

Why don’t you come and find out what Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has to offer?
